The book also identifies points of difference within boys' schools, with the aim of helping parents to decide whether a co-educational or single sex school might best suit their son. The material in the book is drawn from three-day visits to 25 (single sex) boys' secondary schools throughout New Zealand. During these visits the author held conversations with staff and management and with as wide and diverse a range of students as possible.
