The review was commissioned by the Chief Executive of the Ministry of Social Development and led by the Office of the Chief Social Worker of Child, Youth and Family. The review asked: - Are we working with the right cases and in the right timeframes to improve outcomes for New Zealand’s most vulnerable children and young people? - Do we have the right tools and resources to enable us to meet the current demand for our service and to deliver quality social work practice? The review identified key areas for change and improvement in systems and practice.
