520 _aChild-like sex dolls (CLSDs) are an area of escalating concern around the globe. Concerns have been raised that CLSDs will normalize sexual violence against children and contribute to an increase in child sexual abuse. Knowledge about CLSD use is very limited, and much of the existing scholarship on CLSDs focuses primarily on the moral aspects of CLSD use. This research addresses this gap by analyzing court cases involving CLSDs in Australia. It describes key features of these cases to advance understanding about CLSD importation and use. Its findings contribute to knowledge by providing a detailed picture of convicted CLSD perpetrators. (Authors' abstract). Record #9197
