520 _aIn this first-ever U.S. National Plan to End Gender-Based Violence (the National Plan or Plan), the Federal Government advances an unprecedented and comprehensive approach to preventing and addressing sexual violence, intimate partner violence, stalking, and other forms of gender- based violence (referred to collectively as GBV).1 This initiative builds on the lessons learned and progress made as the result of tireless and courageous leadership by GBV survivors, advocates, researchers, and policymakers, as well as other dedicated professionals and community members who lead prevention and response efforts. The National Plan identifies 7 pillars: 1. Prevention; 2. Support, Healing, Safety and Wellbeing; 3. Economic Security and Housing Stability; 4. Online Safety; 5. Legal and Justice Systems; 6.
