| 520 | _aIn 2021/22, Womankind created its Movement Strengthening Fund (MSF)3 and sent out a call for partners to submit proposals to strengthen their movements. In total, 23 WROs applied (three in Ethiopia, four in Kenya, five in Nepal, three in Uganda and seven in Zimbabwe). All applications were from formally registered organisations, apart from one from an unregistered group. A total of nine grants were disbursed. After each initiative was complete, the partners wrote well thought out reports highlighting how the resources had been used to advance the objectives of their work. Womankind felt the reports partners shared and the lessons harvested from them were worth sharing with those interested in feminist movements in particular and social transformation more generally. This paper focuses on selected strategies highlighted in the partners’ reports - those that speak deeply, not just to our heads, but to our hearts and spirits as passionate movement actors. It also summarises the learning, as far as possible. The paper also highlights the attempts partners made to organise and strengthen movements based on different identities, location and circumstances. (From the report). Record #7896 | ||
