520 _a The Violence Indicators Database contains information about more than 269 indicators related to violence and associated risk and protective factors. The indicators included in the database are all from publicly available data sources and are available at a state level, at a minimum. Some indicators also have local level information available. This database can be used as part of a larger process of identifying appropriate indicators. Information about how to identify, assess, and properly use indicators to evaluate your violence prevention efforts is outlined in the step-by-step interactive guide. You can search for indicators using the text search on the left hand side or by using one or more of the filters. You can choose as many or as few options under each filter as you would like. Once you see an indicator that you would like to learn more about, click on the icon to open up the indicator information form. This will provide you with additional information about each indicator – including a link to the data source. If you would like to view indicators related to a specific type of violence (including risk and protective factors) use the “Type of Violence” filter below. (From the website). Record #6569
