This report provides detailed insights and analysis of the New Zealand Crime and Victims Survey (NZCVS) Cycle 1 (2018) results . It extends the topline report released in December 2018 (#6130). The report contains mostly descriptive statistics. It does not include analysis of relationships between variables. Results relating to interpersonal violence and other crimes, family violence, intimate partner violence, psychological abuse and sexual violence are found in chapter 4. Topical reports from the main 2018 NZCVS report to be published in coming months include: "Highly victimised people” (6470), “Family violence” and “Māori victimisation”.
