520 _aProtection orders granted under the New Zealand Domestic Violence Act (1995) remain a linchpin of the Act and a critical means of ensuring the safety of adults and children in situations of domestic violence. This collaborative project between Te Awatea Violence Research Centre and Christchurch Women’s Refuge (CWR) examined how 42 women with protection orders and 42 women without protection orders used CWR services, and whether CWR services were successful in meeting the needs of abused women. (from the paper). Record #4125
