520 _aThis handbook provides guidance for the documentation of interpersonal violence prevention programmes by presenting a framework and methodology to identify, classify, and document programmes, and also to identify if the programme has been formally evaluated. The handbook's target audiences are the World Health Organisation, contract managers and policy makers working in the violence prevention area, and violence prevention programme practitioners who may want to document either their programme or others used within their community, region or country. The handbook's background and rationale are reviewed, along with its public health and ecological model approach to a violence prevention programme framework. The handbook also discusses the identification of risk factors, interventions, and the violence prevention programme documentation process. It provides the paperwork for documenting programme data and a sample letter, which can be used to request information on identifying violence prevention programmes.
