Summary: This Home Office funded, collaborative project examines the service and support needs of male, lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgendered and black and other minority ethnic victims regarding domestic and sexual violence. The study which has been on-going since October 2007 includes a comprehensive literature review into the effects of domestic and sexual violence on the specific participant groups and qualitative research with key stakeholders and service users. Methods include interviews with victims as well as interviews with service providers. In addition, we will seek to establish the service needs and experiences of service users via an online survey.
