This is the first scholarly book on stalking published. It is aimed primarily at law enforcement and mental health professionals. Both empirical data and reflection are provided by the United States-based contributors. The book explores stalking from historical, social, psychiatric, psychological, behavioural and legal perspectives covering who engages in stalking, why, and what they do, how dangerous they are, and risk management of stalking cases. Chapter 7 focuses on stalking and domestic violence. It examines stalking in battering relationships, and describes the JurisMonitor project which involves the electronic monitoring of offenders.
