Online resources: Summary: This report presents an evaluation on the Child Crisis Intervention Project (CCIP) in Auckland, a project that provides a short-term crisis intervention service for children who have witnessed family/whanau violence. The aim of this research was to examine the ability of CCIP to improve children's safety, interrupt the cycle of violence, and improve and increase parental awareness of the impacts of violence on children's wellbeing. The author discusses the utilisation of referral services by families, and examines changes in maternal beliefs about children as witnesses to abuse.
