This document provides a description of a new service model that will respond to the post crisis support needs of women and children who have experienced family violence and are seeking to re-establish their life after the major period of crisis has passed.

The following service model has been developed within the context of the current Victorian Integrated Family Violence Service System and aims to enhance and extend the capacity of the existing service system to further meet women’s and children’s needs. In addition, the model is built on the learnings that have emerged from research undertaken on the long-term support needs of women and children in overcoming the impact and effect that family violence has had on their lives (From the document).
