Summary: A "child safe world" is a world where children are free from all forms of abuse and exploitation by adults and other children and young people. It is also a world where children receive adequate care, resources and attention. "Working together" recognises that abuse and neglect are complex problems that call for the mobilisation of many kinds of skills and resources. Professionals and communities need each other to forge effective responses, and both need to be able to see the world through the eyes of children and young people to share ideas and experiences from across the global community about protecting children in a way that welcomes children and young people as valued participants.--ABSTRACT FROM ISPCAN WEBSITE
