Summary: This report contains the results of an extensive information gathering exercise. It contains a review of existing family violence in New Zealand in the form of an annotated bibliography. It provides a summary of research in this area which is currently underway or planned and an outline of some of the priorities for future research work. As family violence research is a growing field, an investigation of this nature becomes dated very quickly. Recommendations are therefore included on ways of keeping this information up-to-date.
