N2  - This Departmental Report has been prepared by Oranga Tamariki – Ministry for Children (Oranga Tamariki) to assist the Social Services and Community Select Committee (the Committee) in its consideration of the Oranga Tamariki (Repeal
of Section 7AA) Amendment Bill (the Bill). The provisions in section 7AA are outlined in full in Appendix 1.

The Departmental Report summarises the submissions on the Bill and makes recommendations to the Committee about changes to the Bill. The report also responds to questions raised by the Committee as attached in Appendix 2. (From the report.
