Te Pūtahitanga o Te Waipounamu funded Wave 16 of direct whānau commissioning between August 2022 and August 2023. Wave funding departs from investment in traditional service models to invest directly in whānau-led enterprise and entrepreneurship, including support to build business and financial capability. The purpose of this evaluation1 was to understand the impact of the Wave 16 direct whānau commissioning. In particular, the evaluation sought to measure the impact of commissioning to determine return on investment (ROI). (From the Executive summary).
