These promising results are specific to the Canadian context where the programme was first developed; therefore, the aim of the current study was to pilot the feasibility of the EAAA programme at a university in Aotearoa/New Zealand. Twenty-five female first year undergraduate students completed the programme, and a control group of 20 first year psychology students provided comparison data. Surveys measuring sexual assault victimisation, rape myth acceptance, and readiness to change were administered to participants immediately before the EAAA programme, immediately after the programme had been completed, and then again after three months. Follow up qualitative interviews were conducted with six women who completed the programme. Results from this comprehensive pilot suggest that EAAA is feasible and potentially effective, but requires further adaptation for Aotearoa/New Zealand. (Authors' abstract).
