This one-day event was chaired by Sir Wira Gardiner and co-hosted by Justice Minister Amy Adams and Social Development Minister Anne Tolley. 120 people attended the summit and 87 responded to an online survey. The Summit was an opportunity for people from across the sector to come together and build on the conversations to date about breaking the patterns of family violence and working together effectively. Participants took part in one of each of four workshops with the following themes: • Helping children and their whānau to live without family violence • Kaupapa Māori whānau-centred approaches • Taking opportunities to intervene earlier • Supporting seniors, people with disabilities and migrant communities.
