Young and Izabela Z. Schultz. Springer, 2016 N2 - In this chapter the authors detail how Family Planning New Zealand incorporated findings from qualitative research studies into the development of their educational and health promotion materials and programs. Qualitative research has contributed to a shift in the paradigm that underpins sexuality education. In addition, qualitative research has provided an important context that has been used to shape understandings of specific sexuality topics, individual resources, and materials. The strength of qualitative research in relation to health practice is that it provides important information on the context and also points to potential solutions to problems related to sexuality.
