Multiple perspectives were sought during the research project, including contributions from individuals with lived experience of domestic violence, those working within New Zealand’s domestic violence sector and people with expertise in delivering specialist peer support services. This article reports on the research project, drawing together the evidence from the literature on peer support alongside findings from interviews and focus groups where participants shared their experiences, views and opinions about peer support within the context of domestic violence.
