"In April 2010, The Honourable Dr Nick Smith, Minister for ACC, requested an independent review of the introduction of the new Sensitive Claims Clinical Pathway. The independent panel1 provided its report to the Minister in September 2010. The report was developed from a range of information sources including ACC, submissions from organisations and individuals, survivors, provider groups and Government agencies. The panel made 14 recommendations based on the outcomes of the review. The fourteenth recommendation was that a process be established to independently monitor the development and implementation of actions recommended in the report. In response to this recommendation, the ACC Board engaged the reviewer, Barbara Disley, to undertake an independent review at six months and eighteen month periods. This report provides an overview of the response of ACC to implementation of the fourteen recommendation made by the Review Panel in the Clinical Review of ACC Sensitive Claims Clinical Pathway. This is the first progress report. [from Cover and Executive Summary] ER -
