N2  - This report discusses the benchmark situation of the Wairarapa region prior to the Everyday Communities programme being implemented by the Department of Child, Youth and Family Services. The findings highlight that 30% of those surveyed did not believe that child abuse was happening in their area. This study will be used to compare with another survey that will be carried out after the Everyday Communities programme has been implemented
