N2  - This report is on an evaluation carried out between November 2003-January 2004 of five models of Specialist Domestic Violence Courts (SDVC) or Fast Track Systems (FTS) in England and Wales. Following this research specialist domestic violence courts were established more widely, with 64 being set up since April 2006 and more planned.    Key findings of the evaluation were:  - clustering and fast-tracking domestic violence cases enhanced the effectiveness of both court and support services for victims,  - advocacy and information-sharing were easier,  - victim participation and satisfaction were improved resulting in increased public confidence in the justice system.    The report concludes that the specialist courts have been able to create the necessary infrastructure for continuous improvement in dealing with domestic violence cases and have enable the development of best practice in integrated work among agencies which place the victim at the centre of the process
