N2  - "Cultural competence continues to receive limited attention in domestic violence service provision from research to the evaluation of programs. Yet with changing demo-graphics reflecting larger numbers of people of color and increasing needs for more effective responses, it is critical that we change the way we think about domestic violence. Using a feminist framework, this article examines how knowledge has been developed in domestic violence and its consequence related to service provision and perceptions.
