The author points out that contrary to Schluter et al's article, no corporal punishment is legally acceptable under the amended law. The author then discusses why such a correction needs to be made, in the context of New Zealanders' long established practices in relation to physically punishing children UR - https://global-uploads.webflow.com/5e332a62c703f653182faf47/5e332a62c703f633702fc90e_Vol-120-No-1267-14-December-2007.pdf ER -
