The first Child and Youth Strategy Annual Report, for the year ended June 2024, was released on 10 April 2025.
The Annual Report details progress towards achieving the outcomes, as measured against both the current Strategy's indicators and the previous Strategy indicators. It includes specific information about outcomes for Māori children and young people, Pacific children and young people, disabled children and young people, and children and young people in disabled households, where data is available. Note: In 2024 the work of the Child Unit was moved from the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet (DPMC) to a work programme within the Ministry of Social Development. Record #9210
