The purpose of this report is to provide an update on outcome measures and targets set in 1997, to enable Ministers and other key stakeholders to assess progress towards achievement of the Strengthening Families Strategy. This is the third such report to be compiled annually
by the co-ordinating agencies.
Strengthening Families is a multi-sector approach, providing co-ordinated services to improve the well-being of New Zealand's most at-risk children, young people and their
families. The goal of the Strengthening Families Strategy is to improve life outcomes for children in families whose circumstances put good health, education and welfare outcomes at risk. (From the Introduction). Record #9003
