Occasional Papers in Restorative Justice Practice, no.6, 2017
Many countries have developed measures and policies to try to prevent or reduce elder abuse and to provide interventions at different levels. This literature review surveys available research on the prevalence and forms of elder abuse and on the programmes and practices countries have adopted to address it. It also considers the potential of restorative justice approaches to provide an effective response. It concludes with key lessons that should inform future policy and practice in New Zealand.
