The purpose of the Pasefika Proud Programme of Action: 2014–2017 is to address key issues and priorities for the next three years in relation to family/domestic violence in Pasefika families living in New Zealand. It follows on from the work begun by the Programme of Action for Pacific Peoples: 2008 and Beyond. (#3617). What is different about this programme of action is that two frameworks are introduced to assist with facilitating the strategic pathway and cultural contexts in the implementation of the Pasefika Proud programme of action: - An Outcomes Framework develops and secures collaboration across government, and identifies departmental participation. It provides an overview of the contributions by government agencies to the Pasefika Proud programme of action to provide better outcomes for Pasefika peoples, their families and communities - The Nga Vaka Theoretical Framework was developed to assist policy makers and writers understand core Pasefika values and principles that will underpin the Pasefika Proud programme of action and the Outcomes Framework. The Pasefika Proud Programme of Action is a strengths-based approach to addressing violence in Pasefika families and communities. (From the website). The document is available in PDF and Word format from the website. Record #4911
