The New Zealand Violence Intervention Programme Evaluation has conducted six cycles of external audits. During the last audit cycle, District Health Boards (DHBs) were asked to complete a self audit in addition to the external audit. This session discusses the advantages of self audit, compares self to external audit scores, and presents lessons learned and strategies to support effective sustainable self audit practice.
