This guide provides a summary of interpersonal violence prevention programmes, publications, and databases that are readily accessible at global, regional and national levels. The guide is divided into two segments. The first part highlights the United Nations agencies that are currently engaged in interpersonal violence prevention and summarises their relevant contact information, overview of the individual agency's mandate, and current activities descriptions. The second part offers listings of individual agency's publications and other materials, and webpages and databases that relate to interpersonal violence. Some of the agencies listed within this guide are United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI), United Nations Development Fund for Women (UNIFEM), and World Health Organisations (WHO). The guide aims to prevent violence by making more accessible the resources of the different United Nations agencies working to address interpersonal violence, and by encouraging international cooperation along side local actions.
