This brief report provides new data about developments in the Specialist Domestic Violence Court, West London over 2006-07 and updates the 2006 report (a three year overview of the Court's operations). It is intended that other courts and partnerships dealing with domestic violence will benefit from this information. The report describes the Court and its aims, and key features of the operation of the Court over the last year. Data is presented from the four years of the Court's operation. The report includes a section on how progress is reviewed and evaluated. Good practice embedded over the last four years is also described. This section covers: trained staff, victim safety, information sharing and joint working, understanding the seriousness of the crime, conditional bail, pre-sentence reports, sentences imposed, and co-ordination.
