This article summarises a qualitative research project on adolescent female sexual perpetrators in Christchurch. The research was commissioned by the STOP Adolescent Programme and is the first of its kind carried out in New Zealand. The article discusses treatment, the importance of early intervention, incidence rates, and some characteristics of young female offenders. The findings of this study are consistent with international research.
