The commissioning approach of Te<br/>Pūtahitanga o Te Waipounamu is to create<br/>social impact by investing directly in initiatives<br/>developed by whānau. Te Pūtahitanga o Te<br/>Waipounamu funded Wave 16 of direct whānau<br/>commissioning between August 2022 and<br/>August 2023. Wave funding departs from<br/>investment in traditional service models to<br/>invest directly in whānau-led enterprise and<br/>entrepreneurship, including support to build<br/>business and financial capability.<br/>The purpose of this evaluation1 was to<br/>understand the impact of the Wave 16 direct<br/>whānau commissioning.
