Update - see the NZCVS results page or #6274 for final reports and infographics of results from the 2018 survey.<br/><br/><br/>This report provides high level insights and analysis of the New Zealand Crime and Victims Survey (NZCVS) results. This is a topline report. This means it offers timely, concise and succinct access to the main findings of the survey. Other reports will follow that explain the results of the survey in-depth.<br/><br/>The report reflects the first year of interviewing. The report aims to briefly answer three research questions:<br/>• What is the extent and nature of crime and victimisation in New Zealand?<br/>• What is the extent and nature of crime that goes reported or unreported to Police?<br/>• Who experiences crime?<br/><br/>After completion of a wider in-depth analysis, key findings from this report will be integrated into the final main report. (From the document). <br/><br/>The New Zealand Crime and Victims Survey (NZCVS) replaces the New Zealand Crime and Safety Survey (NZCASS) which was run every three to four years. NZCVS will be run annually.
