520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc In a child setting, the focus on the child may mean that woman abuse is unidentified or neglected (Duffy, 1999). Similarly, a focus on the woman's mental health may neglect the effect on the child of witnessing woman abuse (Jaffe, Wolfe et al 1990). In<br/>this paper we discuss the development of protocols for the detection of and intervention into child and woman abuse in a child, adolescent and family mental health setting. We describe the precursors necessary for successful u~ of these protocols, and we discuss the obstacles that may prevent their implementation. (from the Introduction).
