Summary, etc This literature snapshot summarises evidence relating to the role of lead professionals within an integrated services approach to working with children and families.<br/><br/>The first section presents information on integrated services in general, followed by examples of key worker/lead professional models.<br/><br/>The UK lead professional model is then discussed in more depth including roles and functions of lead professionals, where it fits in the UK, early intervention processes, key facets of the model, and how lead professionals are selected and trained.<br/><br/>The next section summarises key information from evaluations of the UK lead professional model, including available cost-effectiveness data. A summary statement concludes the review.
