520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc This paper explores the relationships between inter-agency collaboration and tensions, the management of risk, and the prognosis for therapeutic change in dangerous family situations. It considers how dysfunctional intra- and interagency processes impact on the sharing of information, perceptions of risk, and decision making. A particular theme of this paper is the impact of institutional anxiety on organisational, clinical and client responses. The concept of professional dangerousness is also discussed. The nature and complexity of inter-agency collaboration is explored, and linked to conceptual models about the nature of partnership with families, a key theme in child protection and welfare legislation.
