520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc This study paper provides an analysis of women's access to legal services. A qualitative methodology was employed to learn more about women's experiences of the justice system, and to identify barriers to accessing legal services. This paper discusses numerous facets pertaining to the interaction of women, legal services, and the justice system as a whole. Areas specific to family violence include the lack of understanding of the context of domestic violence, and different legal needs of women due to the influence of partner abuse. Financial limitations are identified as a significant barrier to securing legal services. The study paper recommends greater interagency coordination between funding bodies, and producers and distributors of legal information to stop fragmentation and improve access to services.
