The Chief Executive of Oranga Tamariki is required to publicly report, at least once a year, on the actions taken and the progress made in meeting Oranga tamariki's duties under section 7AA of the Oranga Tamariki Act 1989.

In this report, Oranga Tamariki reports on the actions taken and progress made over the 12 months from 1 July 2020 to 30 June 2021 in two parts:
Part 1 provides a national summary.
Oranga Tamariki introduces the five Mana Tamaiti Objectives and the practice shift. It discusses the importance of partnerships and the advisory
groups Oranga Tamariki works with.
Part 2 we takes a closer look at each of the Mana Tamaiti Objectives and the progress being made towards achieving them, illustrated by case studies, examples, and the viewpoints of partners from around the country. Oranga Tamariki reflects on its work in partnership with whānau, hapū, iwi, communities and strategic partners who help contribute to delivering deliverign Oranga Tamariki's duties under s7AA.
