This report is the culmination of a four year research study that explores the criminal justice response to women who kill abusive men. Through in-depth interviews with some key practitioners in the criminal justice system, and most crucially with women themselves, our research explores the extent to which the law itself, and the way the law is applied, prevent women accessing justice. The research was conducted in the United Kingdom. The report was launched on 13 February 2021. A recording of the launch event is available. Record #7018
