This guide has been produced to inform primary prevention
initiatives aimed at family violence experienced by lesbian,
gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse, intersex and queer
(LGBTIQ) communities.
It is an output of the LGBTIQ Family Violence
Prevention Project 2019–2021 which is funded
by the Office for Women in the Victorian
Department of Premier and Cabinet. The
project is being undertaken by Rainbow Health
Victoria, a program that supports LGBTIQ
health and wellbeing through research and
knowledge translation, training, resources,
policy advice and service accreditation
through the Rainbow Tick. Rainbow Health
Victoria sits within the Australian Research
Centre in Sex, Health and Society at La Trobe
