This rapid evidence review was completed to provide the Ministry of Social Development (MSD) with a summar of the available evidence about the nature and effectiveness of post crisis support services for victims/survivors of sexual violence. The key question to be answered in this review was: What does the evidence say about the nature and effectiveness of post-crisis services for helping victims/survivors of sexual violence recover from its negative impacts? The agreed method was a rapid narrative review of accessible academic and grey literature. The review synthesises and summarises findings from the available identified evidence, and does not include consideration of other factors in decision-making such as cost and alternative options.
