"This paper outlines a framework for a comprehensive approach to domestic violence that best meets the diverse needs of communities in British Columbia...The project has identified eight critical components of an effective specialised justice response to domestic violence. These are based on research and evaluations of coordinated approaches to service delivery for victims and offenders in other jurisdictions and criteria outlined in the Final Report of the Ad Hoc Federal/Provincial/Territorial Working Group Reviewing Special Abuse Policies and Legislation (2003).
