Parenting through separation pack - Wellington, N.Z.: Ministry of Justice, 2006

The Ministry of Justice provides a free information programme for parents called Parenting Through Separation. A resource pack supporting this programme is available. This consists of a brochure about the course (also available in Māori, Fijian, Kiribati, Niuean, Samoan, Tokelauan, Tongan and Tuvaluan from the website), seven booklets and two DVDs. The individual resources are:
Putting your children first - Parents' guide to caring for children after separation; Parenting plans - Parents' guide to making plans for their children after separation; What happens when our parents break up: - Children's guide to family separation; How the Family Court works for you - Children's guide to the Family Court; What happens to us when our parents separate? - Teenagers' guide to family separation; How the Family Court works for you - Teeenagers' guide to the Family Court. The two DVDs are: Parenting through separation, and Kids talk about separation. These are catalogued separately and available for loan. The pack can be requested from the Ministry of Justice website. Resources are available from the website.
