Examines the experience of six women who have sought the use of a Protection Order. Provides background for each situation of domestic violence for the participants, their perceptions of safety after having gained an Order and the results of the enforcement process. The role of the Police, Courts, Victim Support and legal counsel is examined, with a view to highlighting what is working well and what could be improved.
